The Charlotte Museum Trust collects and preserves artefacts of lesbian culture from early lesbian life in New Zealand/Aotearoa. We collect lesbian magazines, books, music and objects. Objects collected so far included a stained glass Labrys, a bone Labrys, a sensual sculptural glass vase, a carving of a wahine/woman, T-shirt quilt, badge collection, street theatre scripts of Women's liberation, ceramic vulva, domestic ware glasses with double women signs, screen printed pillow slips, a sensuously woven kete and objects associated with lesbian herstory.

Early texts about lesbians and sexologist versions of our lives. Titles include Libido Beach, Vice Versa, The Human Female, No Sauce for the Gander, The Lesbian in Literature, We Too are Drifting, All True Lovers, the Lesbian Reader.
